Our church was founded in 1972 a place to practice our faith. It took two years to erect the first building for the church, however, that is still the base for the building we currently are in.
With each challenge we have encountered, we became stronger in our faith. We may provide links to other sites that provide more detail on our church history or particular events in our past.
We invite you to become a part of the church today and a piece of its history tomorrow.
Thank you Bayside Baptist Church for thirty years that have been the most glorious
and fulfilling years that a preacher of the Gospel could desire. You have been faithful
in believing in a miracle-working God. You have been faithful in telling others about
the way of salvation and we have seen many receive Jesus as Savior and Lord. You
have been faithful to pray, provide, encourage, and love your pastor and family year
after year. You have been faithful in your giving that has enabled six building
programs to be completed. You have been faithful to be a mission minded church
with many mission trips taking place and the Gospel seed being scattered around the
world. You have been faithful in giving to the world-wide mission effort of Southern
Baptist. You have been faithful to launch out into new ministries where God has
guided. You have been faithful to receive anyone into the fellowship that desired to
live for the Lord. You have been faithful to help the hurting and share with those that
needed financial help. You have been faithful to believe in holy living and practice
forgiveness. You have been faithful to encourage and help those who have been
called into the ministry. A special word of thanks for the love and encouragement that
was expressed at the recent ordination of Eric Stitts. You have been faithful to not
say, "it has never been done that way before, or thats not the way we used to do it.
You have been faithful to use your spiritual gifts, talents, and time to glorify the Lord
in the ministries at Bayside Baptist Church. You have been faithful to love the entire
staff and show that love in many different ways. On and on I could go.
Jesus said, "be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life."
(Revelation 2:10b) Most of all, we are thankful for our Heavenly Father who has
come to the earth to die for our sins on the cross, defeat death through the resurrection
and is faithfully preparing for us a place in heaven where thirty years will be but a
sigh. To God be the glory, great things He has done, and is doing.
Thanking the Lord for you,
